רחל שיף

רחל שיף היא פרופסור לחינוך באוניברסיטת בר אילן,[1] שבה רכשה את כל תאריה האקדמיים בתחום החינוך המיוחד. היא המייסדת וראשת התכנית לתואר שני בלקויות למידה,ומנהלת מרכז חדד לחקר דיסלקציה ולקויות למידה, החל משנת 1993.[2] שיף חוקרת את היכולות האורייניות, הלשוניות והקוגניטיביות של ילדים ומבוגרים עם לקויות למידה, ובפרט של לומדים עם דיסלקציה. מחקריה מבקשים להבין את האתגרים העומדים בפני ילדים ומבוגרים עם לקויות למידה. על בסיס מחקריה, פיתחה שיף תכניות התערבות לשיפור ההישגים האקדמיים של תלמידים דוברי עברית וערבית במערכת החינוך בישראל.[3] היא כתבה ספרים העוסקים בתכניות התערבות,[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] ומשקיעה את זמנה ביישום תכניות התערבות אלה בבתי ספר יסודיים,[11] בחטיבות ביניים ובתיכונים בישראל.[12] שיף פיתחה אבחונים ללקויות למידה, ועוסקת בהכשרת מאבחנים ומומחים ללקויות למידה,[13][14] והיא חברה בוועדות מקצועיות של המועצה להשכלה גבוהה.[1]

קריירה אקדמית[עריכה]

שיף שותפה לכתיבה של מעל 80 מאמרים בכתבי עת ולהצגה של מעל 160 עבודות בכנסים מקומיים ובינלאומיים כגון: סין, הודו, הונג קונג, יפן, אמסטרדם, פורטוגל, גרמניה, אוסטריה, צרפת, קנדה, בריטניה וארה"ב (קו"ח). מחקריה נוקטים גישה משווה והתפתחותית לרכישת יכולות אורייניות בקרב לומדים דוברי עברית וערבית,[15] והם מתמקדים בגורמים המשפיעים על תהליך רכישת הקריאה כגון מודעות פונולוגית,[16] מורפולוגית,[17][18][19] סמנטית ומטה-קוגניטיבית,[20] ושקיפות אורתוגרפית.[21] שיף מתמקדת גם בלמידה סטטיסטית לא-מודעת, כמנגנון מהותי בתהליך רכישת שפה וקריאה, בקרב ילדים ומבוגרים עם דיסלקציה,[22] ובקרב לומדים שהתפתחותם תקינה.[23] באמצעות מטלת דקדוק מלאכותי היא בוחנת את הגורמים המסייעים והמעכבים למידה סטטיסטית לא מודעת כגון: משוב,[24] גיוון הגירויים,[25] למידה מרווחת,[26] ומורכבות הגירוי[27] בקרב אוכלוסיות אלה. שיף מבקרת מאמרים בכתבי עת בינלאומיים כגון: Scientific Studies of Reading; Language Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools; Dyslexia, Journal of Learning Disabilities; Reading and writing; Annals of Dyslexia ועוד. שיף ערכה מספר גיליונות מיוחדים בכתבי עת,[28][29] והייתה שותפה לעריכה של הספר "התערבויות בלקויות למידה".[30] שיף הייתה יו"ר האגודה לאוריינות ושפה בשנים 2014-2011.[31] היא ייסדה את כתב העת לאוריינות ושפה ושימשה עורכת ראשית שלו.[32] שיף משמשת כחברת מערכת של כתב העת Reading and Writing, עורכת שותפה של כתב העת Written Language and Literacy,[33] וחברה בעלת זכות הצבעה בחברה למחקר המדעי של הקריאה (The Society for the Scientific Study of Reading).
