רולנד הפלצן (הידוע ברשומות עכשוויות בשם Roland le Fartere, Roulandus le Fartere או Roland le Petour ) היה משחרר גזים מקצוען מימי הביניים שחי באנגליה של המאה השתים עשרה. שמו המקורי של רולנד היה ג'ורג'. הוא קיבל אחוזה בסאפוק ושטח אדמה בתמורה לשירותיו כליצן עבור המלך הנרי השני . בכל שנה הוא נאלץ לבצע " Unum saltum et siffletum et unum bumbulum " (קפיצה אחת ושריקה אחת ופלוץ אחד) בחצר המלך בחג המולד .
